EDDIE K AND I JUST FINISHED AN ANTI-CIV RECORDS COMPILATION CASSETTE THIS WEEK. IT'S GOT GREAT TRACKS FROM CLAWTHROAT, O'HASTE ANNIHILATION, HANGUN MAN, CHICKADEE MT. MARTYRS, A PAPER CUP BAND, POOR POSTURE, SUNDOWNERS, BOUNCER FIGHTER, THRASHGANISTAN, HAYDUKE LIVES!, AND TOP ECO VIOLENCE.
THE COMP ALSO FEATURES SOME HIJACKED AUDIO AND A TRACK FROM LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS COURTESY OF SCIENCE IS AWESOME! RECORDS.
THIS CASSETTE IS AS 'GREEN' AS IT GETS. EDDIE GOT THE TAPES FOR FREE OFF OF CRAIG'S LIST. DIANE DONATED SOME FABRICS WHICH LITTLE TAPE POUCHES WERE MADE,
AND WE WENT TO KINKOS WHICH APPARENTLY MEANT WE SAVED THE RAINFOREST BY MAKING PHOTOCOPIED INSERTS THERE. GO EARTH!
ON AN ALMOST RELATED NOTE, KATEY SLEEVELESS JUST FINISHED A MUSIC VIDEO FOR HER SONG "THE GOV'T SEEMS TO HAVE PROBLEMS PASSING BILLS ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE FREE", WHICH HAPPENS TO BE ON HER CASSETTE "TENT AND SAWDUST REVIVAL". Angeleyes is the aural candy from Kyle of A Paper Cup Band and Hayduke Lives fame.
Ojibwa Bird Snare is an experimental offshoot of Art Death AKA Alec Gruba. Two too cool tapes for you. Eddy Burkes
new release is just needing artwork and it will be in your hand. I have been personally doing alot of recording
and writing lately, partially explaining such inactivity. Thanks to Eddy! Anti-Civ cassette comp coming out this fall. We'll be making tons of tapes with intent to give them out for free.

I've taken the week off from most tape making business besides sending out some orders.
Most of my free time has been devoted to updating the hark! press website.

Neil Cain, founder of Pattern Hungry Records
has a beautiful, vision inspiring cassette he mailed me last week that I am most excited to mass produce.
On the local scene, rumors are solidifying that an acoustic/live
Daisy's Compact Mice cassette will see light of day! Closely related is an
Atomic Annie cassette. They just home recorded a sparkly new full lenghth, but missing in that is all the long winded explanations of songs such as "Dick Cheney is a Dick" and "Mark Hammil Looks Like a 10,000 Year Old Scorpion". This new cassette will feature all the wonderous musings we adore plus the blast beatings we can't get enough of. Now aren't you glad you made it through the winter?

NEW CASSETTE: SUNDOWNERS "PEDDLING FOR SPRINGTIME"(PR#0070).
THESE GUYS ARE A THREE PIECE PUNK OUTFIT FROM MINNEAPOLIS, INVOLVED IN THE ANTI-CIV COLLECTIVE. THIS TAPE IS OVERDUE, FOR ALL THEY HAD OUT IS AN AMAZING SPLIT 7" WITH HOLY SOCKETS. THE TAPE IS BLUE AND IS 30 MINUTES OF THE GOOD KIND OF SUCKY PUNK. SUNDOWNERS WILL HAVE COPIES OF THIS AT THIER FRIDAY FEB 15TH MEMORY LANES(MINNEAPOLIS) SHOW WITH ARPEGGIO CLUCKER + AMEN AND THE HELL YEAHS. DAMN YEAH, FUCK YEAH!

There is an up to date list of TAPES IN STOCK to see what I've got copies of right now. We're planning on printing up some of the best of#1-50, but most of our supply corresponds with the new compilation cd. Listen to it here and the radio page.
New cassette by Hangun Man just out, "Depths of the Imagination tent" (PR#0068). It's 90 Minutes and $4. Recorded by Zam Zam at the Pocketknife on one side and live acoustic on the other. Luc Parker "is Maddddddd!"(PR#0069)will be available very soon when we print up it's insert. It is a collection of performances pieces with music by Thunder in the Valley and Rotten Living to help showcase Luc's amazing spoken talent. Catch an interview with him in Upwalls #9. Finishing Artwork For a new cassette by Sundowners. Also By the time I go on tour next week I should be bringing a Alienist/Thrashganistan 'double showcase' cassette. Theres been a thing or two happening in Peddling Records since July of 2007, but you wouldn't know it by dropping by our online H.Q.
I've started doing some updating while at the Hark!press office space this week. We are a studio in the Stevens Square Center for the Arts, Minneapolis. I realized a little late for some folks sake that your orders were being directed to my junk mail folder, so anyone long since disgruntled or soon to make the attempt, send me your requests directly. I removed our ordering form for now. gordon@peddlingrecords.org
I set up paypal but that just pretend I didn't say that. I don't want another password/username if you can understand that. Having a profile is dirty enough. So the catalog is not quite up to date, but if you find our myspace I did make a photo folder for all the new tapes in stock. I'll get that transfered over here and then life will be great.
I going on tour as Hangun Man from feb18th-March13th so I'll be putting peddling on hold while I take my guitar, tape player and box of tapes on the road for a while. Wish me luck and track me down.
